Meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany faction in the Bundestag Dirk Wiese
On March 3, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany Mr. Nabijon Kasimov met with the Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) faction in the Bundestag Dirk Wiese.
Issues of enhancing bilateral ties between the parliaments of the two countries, as well as interaction in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
German parliamentarian was informed about the reforms being carried out in our country aimed at further democratizing society and liberalizing the economy, as well as the main directions of the republic's foreign policy and regional cooperation in Central Asia.
Particular attention was placed on the initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev within the framework of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly and the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
Having highly appreciated open and constructive foreign policy pursued by Uzbekistan, as well as large-scale transformations within the country, Dirk Wiese noted his support for the reform course of the Uzbek government.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on regular maintenance of contacts and mutual support of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
