Developing cooperation with the parliamentary group “Germany – Central Asia”
International experience is studied to involve citizens in reform and reach different population segments actively.
A meeting was held at the Development Strategy Center with representatives of the delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the “Germany – Central Asia” parliamentary group in the German Bundestag Manfred Grund.
Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center Eldor Tulyakov informed the deputies of the German Bundestag about the role and participation of civil society institutions in reforms in Uzbekistan, the significance of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy. He also explained the mechanisms for ensuring the population’s active participation in adopting long-term strategic documents and other political processes.
The German side said that it will always support Uzbekistan as a partner. Members of the delegation also shared their experience of actively involving citizens in the reform process and reaching different population segments.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached regarding cooperation between the Development Strategy Center and the “Germany – Central Asia” parliamentary group.
