Doctors from Germany visit Andijan

A group of doctors from Germany, including the Rector of Rostock University Wolfgang Schareck, Dean of the Medical School Emil Reisinger, Director of the Urology Clinic, Professor Oliver Hackenberg and others visited Andijan.
Rostock University and Andijan State Medical Institute have been cooperating for several years. A group of German doctors who arrived in Uzbekistan within the framework of this cooperation met with specialists of Andijan regional branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology and held master classes.

At the meeting, it was noted that in recent years significant work had been carried out in the country in the healthcare system reforming, protecting public health, and strengthening medical institutions' material-technical base. Active work is being carried out in establishing cooperation with international medical institutions, studying and putting into practice world best practices.

German specialists became familiar with the activities of Andijan regional branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology, with the conditions created for patients, work in the effective therapy, diagnosis of diseases, and talked with patients.

German doctors also visited other medical institutions in the region and became familiar with the sights of Andijan.
