Uzbekistan attracts almost 30 million euros from KfW
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on cooperation in the development of small and medium-sized businesses with the German Development Bank, KfW.
In accordance with the agreement on financial cooperation, Uzbekistan – German agreements were concluded. The funds raised will be used for a project of financial support for small and medium-sized businesses using funds provided by KfW.
In total, the German side will provide €29.8 million, of which €26.8 million – in the form of a loan at 2% per annum for 30 years (including 10 years of grace period). Also, KfW is providing €3 million as a grant used for consultations on the project.
The project will be implemented in 2021-2024 in all regions of Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for the implementation of tasks, coordination and reporting on the project.
