According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, there are 127 museums in Uzbekistan.
Last year, 5 million 100 thousand people visited the museums in the country. The most visited ones are the I. Savitsky State Museum of Arts of Karakalpakstan – 48.3 thousand people, the State Museum of Timurids History – 86.5 thousand people, Ichan-Kala Complex in Khiva – 211.9 thousand people, Bukhara State Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve – 399.4 thousand people and Samarkand State Art Museum-Reserve – 683.9 thousand people.
