AMMC: German scientist gets acquainted with the production process
A well-known scientist, miner, Director of the Institute of Mining and Special Civil Engineering, Freiberg Technical University, professor of the Saxon Academy of Sciences and other international academies Carsten Drebenstedt visited Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.
The guest visited the enterprises of the plant, where he got acquainted with the production process. In particular, he inspected the Kalmakir and Yoshlik-1 deposits, the copper processing plant and the site for the construction of a new plant No. 3. The German scientist was greatly impressed by the activities of the copper smelter, which is the endpoint of the enterprise’s technological chain.

On the second day, Professor Carsten Drebenstedt visited the Almalyk branch of NUST MISiS and the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University. He got acquainted with the educational process and scientific directions.
A meeting was held with the participation of Professor Carsten Drebenstedt and the leadership of the AMMC, directors and professors of the Training Center, and branches of both universities.
The parties discussed issues of further developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
