News of AMMC: a new gold mine have been commissioned

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) completed the construction of the underground gold mine deposit Kayragach in Tashkent region, reports press service of the combine.

The project worth 30.6 million USD provided for the construction of the underground mine capacity of up to 80,000 tons of ore annually. The project was financed by loans from domestic banks in the amount of 13.2 million USD loan from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan - 6.7 million USD and own funds of AMMC - 10.7 million USD.

According to the company, in January mine constructors commisioned new galleries into operation, there has been opened a new section - Kayragach, first ore which has already gone to the factory for processing.

AMMC is the only copper producer in Uzbekistan. The share of enterprises also accounted for about 90% of silver and 20% gold in country. According to experts republic annually produces more than 90 tons of gold.
