Taken to Parliamentary Control

Since the beginning of the year, the parliamentarians have already left for the fourth time to study the real situation in places.

This time they conducted their meetings in Beruni, Kurgantepa, Vobkent, Pakhtakor, Karmana, Yangikurgan, Kattakurgan, Khovos, Shurchi, Parkent, Uzbekistan, Khiva, Karshi districts.

"I cannot get a loan for the entrepreneurship", "There are not enough medicines in our rural medical center", "Who will be responsible for the water and electricity interruptions?", "When will the children playground be erected?"

The deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis heard most often these and other questions during the meetings with the population of various regions of the country.

So, the residents of the mahalla "Gulshan" in the Khiva district found the failure of the water pipe that provided the population of the mahalla with drinking water as the most acute problem during the meeting with people's deputies. On this occasion, they applied to the various local authorities, but there was no response so far, and the water supply was not restored.

The question was taken on the deputy control. The urgent measures were taken to eliminate this problem on the part of the regional branch of the state unitary enterprise "Suvoqova".

A group of deputies visited to the local market. It turned out that there were no terminals at all points of the sale of meat and meat products. Local authorities were obliged to eliminate this problem as soon as possible.

In the course of the meetings with the residents of the mahalla “Sarkop” in the Beruni district of Karakalpakstan, the parliamentarians identified a wide range of problems. The most urgent of them was the lack of a transport connection between the mahallas "Sarkop" and "Palvash", buses for the students of the colleges. The parliamentarians consider that in these mahallas it is necessary to establish the work of the objects of public services of the population, to improve the settlements, to assist the local residents in obtaining land for growing fruit and vegetable products, and to resolve the issue of uninterrupted provision of the population with the electricity.

On all identified problems, the measures have been taken to address them by the local government bodies.

In the Khovos district of the Syrdarya region, the parliamentarians took control of the complaint of the mahalla “Gulbahor” residents about the absence of a children's playground. They also assisted in providing the department of the family polyclinic on the territory of the mahalla "Karvonsaroy" with medicines and medical products.

Berdiqul Otaboyev from the mahalla “Yettiguzar” in the village of Khovos lamented that since 2016 he cannot get a bank loan to produce the furniture. After the intervention of people's representatives the financial institutions promised to provide all-round assistance to the entrepreneur. Also, the appeals of Shavkat Muminov and Bakhtiyor Nuriddinov on allocating the funds for the organization of a green house were positively resolved.

In the Kattakurgan district of the Samarkand region, parliamentarians carry out a comprehensive monitoring of the state of the social sphere.

"The same problems were observed here as it was revealed earlier in other regions of the region", a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Shuhrat Polvonov says. “These are the dilapidation of the rural medical stations buildings, the lack of modern high-tech medical equipment, interruptions in the supply of the electricity. Sometimes the outrageous facts were also revealed. For example, the residents of some mahallas complained about idle times in the work of a number of rural medical points. The appeals of the people, as it turned out, were justified. Having visited these rural medical points, we did not find any of the medical personnel there. In this regard, the parliamentarians initiated the beginning of an internal investigation.
