Network of Halal Standard Institutions to Emerge in the Country

The Spanish company Horwath HTL will develop an analytical report for Uzbekistan that provides specific recommendations for the implementation of Halal standard and a strategy for further diversification of ziyorat (pilgrimage) tourism in the country.

Its specialists will arrive in Uzbekistan for work already in the second half of February 2018 - not only to study the situation and develop standards, but also to hold seminars on the development of halal tourism for representatives of state structures, the private sector and educational institutions in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva at no cost.

In translation from Arabic halal means permitted. Most often this term is applied to foods that a Muslim can eat. However, this concept has a broader meaning and extends to virtually all areas of human life: food, clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, services and much more.

It is important that for many people in the world the concept of halal today is associated not so much with a religious cult as with safe products that do not contain harmful substances, environmentally friendly, without GMOs and high quality control in production.

The most important advantage of introducing and certifying this system is the possibility of a serious expansion of export sales markets.

At the same time, as experts of Horwath HTL note, the implementation of this standard does not cause serious difficulties and does not entail large expenses.

To implement the system, the enterprise must have a food safety management system. Also here it is necessary to adhere to certain requirements, which include the use of only authorized food products in the manufacture, high standards for food purity and others.
