Constant attention to providing population with housing

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a housing estate on Mustakillik Street in Jizzakh.

In the cities of Uzbekistan, it is planned to build multi-storey housing for almost 43.5 thousand apartments, in 2018-2020.

The seven-story houses built on Mustakillik Street with two- and three-room apartments are scheduled to be commissioned in September this year.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev was informed about the ongoing construction activities in other areas of the region. Projects on construction of multi-storey housing in the village of Uchtepa in Sharaf-Rashidov district, an area of affordable houses in the village of Tokchilik in the same district will be implemented.

In addition, projects were presented on construction of infrastructure facilities, multi-storey houses on Islam Karimov Street in Jizzakh, reconstruction of a building of pre-school education institution No.37 in “Sayljoyi” makhalla.

– The scale of construction activities in Jizzakh is expanding. Therefore, it is necessary to organize enterprises on production of building materials here, – said the Head of the state. – This will allow reducing the cost of construction.

The President particularly touched upon the project for development of the drinking water supply system in the region, gave appropriate instructions to responsible persons on using all the reserves of providing the population with clean drinking water.

According to the program of repairing multi-storey housing stock of Jizzakh region, in 2017, 345 houses were repaired, 11 commercial banks were allocated concessional loans worth 16.3 billion sums. In 2018, it is planned to repair and improve 409 multi-storey houses, 59.6 billion sums will be directed for this purpose.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev became thoroughly acquainted with each project and instructed responsible persons to take control over the expenditure of allocated funds and compliance with deadlines for completion of construction activities.
